A nice tour to discover all the parks in west border of Milan
1. Fontanili park
We leave Expo and cycle to the Fontanili park, a wide protected area with many resurgences, called Fontanili.
2. Bosco in CittÃ
Il Boscoincittà is a public park in west Milan with woods, pools and urban vegetable gardens.
3. Parco delle Cave
In the area of Baggio quarries, abandoned in the '60s, there is now an extraordinary urban public park with ponds, paths, agricultural spaces and many natural environments.
4. The Castle of Cusago
We head to the castle of Cusago, built in 1360 as countryside mansion for the Visconti family.
5. Mantegazza chapel and Favaglie Farm
From Cusago we head north, passing through rice fields and farmlands. We pass by the ancient oratory of San Giovanni Battista at Cascine Olona, called Mantegazza from the noble family who built it in 1400.
The last stop is Favaglie, an ancient agricultural farm that still preserves ancient structures. We return to Expo passing again through Fontanili park.
